BLU FOR NIKE SWIM

The Brief

Swimmer & Model Blu Edmunds brought his athletic expertise and passion for the sport to Nike's latest swimwear campaign.

During casting, Blu provided key insights on finding models who could authentically connect with the rigorous training routines and determination of competitive swimmers.

On set, Blu coached the models to capture the power and form needed to cut through the water in Nike's high-tech swimsuits. The campaign images and videos dynamically showcase both the athletic models and the swimwear in action. Blu's unique perspective as an experienced swimmer allowed the campaign to tap into the mindset and motivation that fuels world-class swimmers wearing Nike gear.

The Strategy

The casting strategy is to select amateur and community swimmers to authentically promote Nike's swimwear. Swim coaches also provided casting input. Campaign communications focused on a range of physical abilities and reasons for swimming.
