The Brief

The brief for this project was to deliver a first-class, sold-out showcase event in Toronto that would highlight Maria-Therese's impressive vocal talents and officially launch her as an R&B/soul solo headliner.

As an emerging artist preparing for her debut solo performance after leaving a former band, it was crucial that this event create major buzz and position Maria-Therese as a rising star vocalist in the R&B/soul scene.

To support Maria's transition, our team needed to secure collaborations with established artists like Jahkoy, Eric Ryan & Toronto Symphony Orchestra that would excite fans.

The showcase required meticulous planning to pack the intimate venue and ignite social chatter that would organically spread Maria's story as an independent, creative new voice. Delivering a high-energy night that left fans eager for more was imperative to propel Maria-Therese's solo career goals in Canada's vibrant R&B landscape.

This event was the platform to solidify her status as an artist to watch.

The Strategy

To successfully execute this high-profile showcase as Maria-Therese's solo debut, our strategy was multifaceted. We focused on securing a mid-sized Toronto venue that could sell out 120+ people and feel electric. Tactically, we handled venue logistics, ticketing, promotion across Maria's social channels, and coordinated travel for out-of-town collaborators.

Knowing Maria's vocals were the star, we designed a warm sound, lighting, and a stage setup to highlight her front-and-center. We strategically aligned on collaborators like Jahkoy and Eric Ryan that would excite fans and lend credibility.

Throughout the process, our team provided hands-on support to manage nerves and amplify Maria's confidence for the big night. The strategy combined meticulous logistical coordination with constant emphasis on showcasing Maria-Therese as the talented headliner ready to own the spotlight.
